dear Friend:
how amazing! it seems we are curious about the same subject. I am also a graduate school student . and i am writing , too.in fact, there are a lot of articles talking about how oestrogen and progesteron level flucturation due to menstrual cycle affect joint stability and hence increase the chance of injury during last decade.
in terms of maximal anaerobic training affect women still have not a irrefutable evidence.but your question in extensive training , i've found the pretrospective articles show regular vigorous exercise is related with decreased serum level of estrogen and maybe increase risk of osteoporosis and subsequent fracture.
after extensive training , the normal menstrual cycle mae change to become amenorrheic though!
we should keep in touch to exchange the thoughts ^_^
